Consulting

Consultant Services include questions generated by the Pastor and community leaders regarding thoughts and ideas they had discussed and had not made the decision to hire an architect. The answers made available to the community are of some value to them. But unless they require more than just verbal presentation, or require more research or drawings, or another meeting; these services would be rendered free of charge. This would be made aware of this in the beginning of the discussion. Usually, this event is described as an interview of a potential architectural prospect and is usually at no charge.

Consultant services can be rendered under a separate agreement, but with a slight redundancy, the Standard Architect agreement can follow without interruption. The predesign stage of the standard contract, following the consulting process, is a much deeper investigation into the program materials the site and physical requirements of the site and building.

Consultant Architect services begin with the preliminary investigation of the physical and spiritual needs of the Community:

  1. Spiritual programming
    1. Faith identity of the community
    2. Workshop
    3. Actions of the People (Liturgy)
    4. Emotional dimensions and sensibilities
    5. Exterior and interior expressions
    6. Cultural impact
  2. Physical programming
    1. Functional requirements
    2. Use relationship
  3. Dimensional assessment
    1. Building space relationships
    2. Site circulation & orientation
    3. The Natural Approach
  4. Sustainability
    1. Maintain resource
    2. Site Planning
    3. Design by climate and orientation
    4. Health and safety
